Introducing LoadBuilder™ and LoadPlanner™

BFC Insights Team
Today, BFC Software is announcing the availability of LoadBuilder™ and LoadPlanner™, two cloud-based outbound optimization solutions built specifically for foodservice and grocery distributors.
These aren't retrofitted logistics tools from the general warehousing world. They're built from the ground up for the complexity that defines food distribution: catch weights, multi-temperature zones, FILO delivery sequencing, axle weight compliance, and the unpredictable reality of every truck being different.
Both solutions connect to your existing WMS, ERP, and routing systems with no rip-and-replace and no on-premises infrastructure required. You get a purpose-built platform without rebuilding what's already working.
Two Products. One Outbound Operation Solved.
LoadBuilder™ is the right fit for operations that need end-to-end optimization, from pallet composition to truck assignment in a single unified system.
LoadPlanner™ is designed for enterprise operations that already build pallets in their WMS. It takes those pre-built pallets and determines the optimal placement on each truck, accounting for temperature zones, stacking requirements, delivery sequence, and weight distribution.
Both platforms run up to 20,000 iterations per truck and select the best output given your unique SKUs, stops, and physical constraints. And with scalable cloud architecture, you can build hundreds of trucks simultaneously.
What This Actually Looks Like in the Warehouse
The results from recent LoadBuilder™ deployments speak for themselves:
- 50–75% reduction in time spent building load plans
- 10% fewer selector trips through the warehouse
- 20–50% reduction in loading hours
- 5–10% less time spent per delivery stop
Why BFC?
BFC Software has spent more than 30 years building solutions for food distribution, not adapting general tools to fit, but purpose-building for the industry's specific demands.
"Food distribution is all we do," said Will Collins, CEO of BFC Software. "LoadPlanner™ and LoadBuilder™ represent our continued dedication to intelligent, cloud-based solutions that meet food distributors where they are, integrating with the systems they already have and delivering measurable operational performance improvements from day one."
That philosophy shows up in every product decision, including the choice to deliver both solutions in the cloud, so customers get the capability of a purpose-built platform without the burden of implementation risk.
Ready to See It in Action?
LoadBuilder™ and LoadPlanner™ are available now. If your operation is still building loads manually, or your current tools weren't built for the complexity of food distribution, it's worth a conversation.
